UPI Payment Gateway
Frequently Asked Questions
What is UPI Payment Gateway?
A UPI Payment Gateway enables online transactions through the UPI infrastructure. It serves as a bridge between a customer's and a merchant's bank accounts, allowing for instant and secure money transfers in real-time.
How does a UPI Payment Gateway work?
The customer begins a Payment on a website or app, choosing UPI as their Payment option.
UPI Interface: The UPI gateway shows the customer a screen to enter their UPI ID (also called a Virtual Payment Address or VPA). The customer may also scan a QR code with their UPI app.
Authorization: The customer approves the Payment on their UPI app, usually by entering a secure PIN.
Completion: Once approved, the Payment happens instantly, moving money from the customer’s bank account to the merchant’s account.
Confirmation: Both the merchant and customer get a confirmation of the Payment.
UPI Gateway helps businesses accept Payments directly from customers' bank accounts, making the process easier and less dependent on physical cards. It also allows customers to pay anytime, anywhere, using just their mobile device.
